Thank You Card

The decision to open my blog with a thank you card wasn’t a random choice.  Like authors do in their books, I would like to start my blog with acknowledgements.

First of all, I want to thank my wonderful demonstrator, mentor and friend, Jennifer Emmert, for introducing me to Stampin’ Up! two years ago, and for all her willing, cheerful assistance and encouragement.

A big thank you also to all my customers, class gals, and fellow bloggers, for sharing and supporting my interest in card making.

And above all, my heartfelt thanks goes to my husband, Tom, for all his understanding, generosity and support.

Thank you, guys!

As for my card, I wanted something more than just a note of thanks, so I came up with this design, simple yet elegant. The card was made with premium paper from Stampin’ Up! and decorated with a flower made from Pumkin Pie grosgrain ribbon (Stampin Up!) with a button in the center; the punched-out sentiment also gives the card a 3-D look due to dimensionals.

Difficulty: Easy

Card dimensions: 4 x 5".

Stamps (Stampin Up!): Sincere Salutations

Ink (Stampin Up!): Chocolate Chip

Paper (Stampin’ Up!): Old Olive textured cardstock, Certainly Celery paper, Real Red paper, Pink Flamingo paper in Real Red (retired).

Embellishments (Stampin’ Up!): Cajun Craze button (Regals), Pumkin Pie 5/8'' grosgrain ribbon, Real Red 1/4'' grosgrain ribbon.

Tools (Stampin Up!): Eyelet Border punch, Scallop Trim Border punch, Scallop Oval Extra-Large punch, dimensionals, glue dots.

Thanks for stopping by!
